First of all, I messed up the Sunday Roast situation. My coworker/friend Tash told me that having one at 7:45 p.m. is too late. It should have been at 1 or 2 p.m., so if you want to be cool and not a loser like me, now you know—LOL!

I didn't get to sleep until after 3:30 a.m., so I forced myself to wake up at 8:30 a.m. That way, I'm tired enough to sleep at a decent time tonight and wake up in time to be at the office early tomorrow. Tuesdays are busy and kick off with a meeting at 8:30 a.m. I'm excited to go!

It took me about 30 minutes to unpack and organize my clothes. Yay! I feel so much better now that everything is organized.

Then, I got ready and grabbed an iced dirty chai (so good - chai tea latte with coffee mixed in). I tried one of the many coffee shops near me. It was great.

I hopped on the tube and headed to The Brick Lane Bookshop, picked up The Song of Achilles, wandered into a vintage shop, snagged a jumper (aka sweater) for Noah, and took a nice 2-mile walk to get some fresh air.

Halfway through my book! If you're observant, you'll see I changed my shoes on the way out. Much cuter with this outfit.

Brick Lane is a street in East London that spans a few neighborhoods. I only saw a small slice of it. It's a super funky area; very fun to walk through. Per Google, "Brick Lane is a bustling area with a strong focus on food, art, fashion, and markets, drawing both locals and tourists. You'll find everything from world-class curry houses to vintage shops and street art, reflecting the area's diverse and multicultural heritage." I will go back to browse once I have more time.

On my way home, I grabbed a snack from M&S and ate my leftovers from last night. It was overkill on carbs :) I also set up my desk, worked from about 1 pm to 8 pm, and had a delicious banana, pb, and honey bagel—more carbs - WOOPS. It's a holiday here so I used some time yesterday to catch up, too. Overall, feeling prepared for the week. I planned to work more, but my first big WOOPSIE happened. This flat automatically locks when you shut the door. I left to grab my laundry downstairs and realized I didn't grab the key. Ughhh. Thank God Teresa answered my call. With my phone on 19% battery, I called an Uber to take me directly to her new place and back. I chose Uber because it was a 45-minute round-trip while it would have been 45 minutes one way on public transportation. PFft... I PRAY that I don't do that again. I'm so grateful she had a spare. Plus, she packed me some stuff I asked for, like a little lamp for my nightstand, a bath tray to hold my book and a candle in the bath, and an extra pillow - what a sweetie! Now I need to figure out the key situation when Noah's here...

Got home and worked a bit more, wrote this blog, and it's almost 11 pm now, so I'm shutting off the lights and going to bed. :) Alarm set for 6:45 a.m.! In the office by 8:15 am. Let's gooooooo!

Signing off while chanting, "I WILL ADJUST TO THIS TIMEZONE!"
