Be prepared to be blasted with food pics.

Monday was a "bank holiday" here, so on Tuesday, I went into the office, and it was SO FUN being around humans during the work day! I forgot how much I missed it. The last time was over five years ago. It seems like the team is very receptive to me being here and helping out for the time being, so that's a nice feeling. The sales leader in the office and I get on well, and I've worked with him a little before, so having a familiar face is nice, plus, of course, the lovely marketing folks I know and love. Happy to be with them!

This breakfast has become my entire morning personality. I don't have any ingredients for Monday morning, and I'm already sad about it.

I have a bone to pick with London. Apparently, this place doesn't believe in flavoured creamers?!?!? They have milk. That is all. There is no sugar-free vanilla Coffee Mate; I am coping, but it could be better.

First day outfit. Ready to go, on time, let's go.

I mentioned the 8:30 am sales meeting kickoff - I don't think that's a thing. I am not sure at this point because many folks were not in the office last week due to the long holiday weekend, and I most certainly rushed to get there to arrive at no meeting... lol

They had a badge printed for me of my original employee badge... umm... can we collectively agree that I never do this with my hair again? hahahahaha

Tuesday and Wednesday, I worked long hours. It was tough, but that's to be expected when it's the first week. I went for a run on Wednesday morning before work, which is fun here. So many places to look at.

This place called ITSU is everywhere here, and it has little sushi boxes, some rice box meals, etc. I had high hopes but didn't think it was good. Have you had it? Do you like it? I thought it was "mid."

This is one of the fabulous pastry places near my house. There are WAY too many too close to me. I had a ham and cheese croissant with an iced dirty chai. Not as good as my favorite dirty chai ever, at the Wake Up Coffee in St. Simon's Island, GA. I haven't found one that comes close and I'm starting to think that I won't, so I just need to enjoy it when I'm there. lol

Yum

Thursday, I had a typical work day, which was nice. I got to the office around 9 am and left at 6:30 pm for a little happy hour. This is my coworker friend Lisa - isn't she lovely? She hates photos, so it's rare you have one with her. We were in India together just last month and had a fun dinner together then, so I'm happy to be working in the office with her!

Friday, I worked from home and headed to the airport to pick up Noah!

First time in Europe and first time on the tube!

Within five seconds of sitting down, Noah went to grab his sweatshirt off of his bag and we realized it wasn't there. I managed to snag this pic as we saw a station worker pick it up off the ground and we drove of... LOL RIP "Flawless Whips" sweatshirt

The manspread is real here.

We kicked off the evening with some rum and Coke at a local pub. He wasn't happy that I told the bartender it was his first legal drink. lol

We had quite a random first night meal for London. He sat next to a Jamaican-Londoner, and the guy told him he had to get some good Caribbean food. So, we headed to Cottons in Shoreditch and had the meat platter - ox tail, wings, jerk chicken, plantains, rice, macaroni and cheese, and rum & coke! It was very yummy.

On Saturday, we got up and walked around Portobello Market, which is right by my place. We grabbed some classic fish and chips and a (delicious) burger, then explored London.

We hopped on a Big Bus and rode out in the fresh sunlight. It was perfect weather and he was very jet lagged so we wanted to take it easy.

More rum & cokes while we planned a weekend in Ireland with his friend Colton! He and Colton will be here on May 30th. We planned 1 night in Dublin, over to Galway, then down the coast and on to Limerick. The bartender we chatted with was from Ireland so she gave us lots of input!

There is a tiny Italian restaurant right by my flat, Da Maria, that is always packed. We decided to grab dinner there, and YUM. Highly recommend! You can see straight into the tiny kitchen where Maria cooks everything!

On Sunday morning, Noah woke up with a sore throat and was not feeling well. I took advantage of the 70-degree weather and went for a morning run, grabbed some fresh flowers, and strolled around the area.

Also grabbed a spinach and feta croissant, and an apple thingy that was delicious.

After, I got ready for the day and headed to Brick Lane to Vintage shop.

I had no luck except for a yummy candle. Oh well, I enjoyed the browsing.

Then, Noah and I met up for a SUNDAY ROAST AND OH- MY - GAWD. I thought the one from Parlour was great until I had this one today from the Mall Tavern. I don't mean to be dramatic, but this was one of the best meals we've had in our lives. We got it with bone marrow and smeared it all over the potatoes and beef - YUM...

During dinner, Noah said he likes it here and appreciates the experience but doesn't want to stay as long as planned. He'd rather be home with the hot weather, on the lake fishing, turkey hunting, and hanging with friends. Not gonna lie, it sucks but at the same time, I understand. He's in a new country for the first time with no friends, and I must work during the week. He's looking forward to coming back in May with Colton, and they're staying for 12 days, so I can have lots of quality time with him. I changed his flight for free, and he's heading out on Wednesday.

To wrap up the food-filled weekend, we finished strong with a milk tea boba and a nutella & fresh strawberry-filled croissant. SO GOOD. I need to run again tomorrow morning...
